I often challenge myself by picking out fresh flowers and seeing whether or not I can recreate them with my trusty supply of crepe paper. When these experiments work out, I'm exhilarated—but then what? Often these blooms are quite distinct or involve combinations that don't necessarily fit into my current collection. Or, they're more complex and end up being something that I'm not sure I can (or want to) recreate an indefinite number of times. 

So rather keeping these beautiful blooms all to myself, I'm going to start listing them here!

My goal is to add a new piece every week. That may be too ambitious, but I like a challenge! These studies keep me feeling creative, and they make me happy. And that's why I started this business in the first place. So here's to the start of a new chapter!
 

I had been stocking up on blooms for a photoshoot this week (more on that soon), so as an added bonus I get to kick things off with a bang!
