Looking back at 2017
While technically I launched this site in September 2016, I consider 2017 my first official year in business. I had made a public outing (which I timidly setup some flowers alongside my other Blunt Objects products at a market last Christmas), but it wasn't until the start of the year that I started to develop my first collection of arrangements—just in time for Valentine's Day!
Around that time I hit the milestone of 200 Instagram followers—I was ecstatic! I thought maybe this little side business could turn into something. I'm honestly shocked at what I've accomplished this past year. It's taken a lot of time and hard work, but I also don't take for granted all of the support and encouragement I've received along the way. So thank you all!
I thought I'd do a little roundup of some of my favorite moments and accomplishments from 2017. I hate to admit I never really set goals for this venture—nor did I know what to expect. But with one year under my belt, I have lots of fun analytics (yes, I'm a numbers person), much to be excited about, and many, many flowers to add to my repertoire!
Unfortunately, I never kept track of exactly how many flowers I made over the course of the year. All I know is it was a lot. Here are some numbers I do know.

Here are a few of my personal favorites from 2017.
And here are some blooms I'm particularly proud of.
Being able to look at how much my work has evolved in just one short year is truly exciting. I'm so grateful to be able to dedicate time every day to work on my skills and to be able to make flowers for other people. I can't wait to see what this year brings.
