Philip & Elizabeth’s Early Spring Paperversary
Last Spring I had the privilege of recreating a truly stunning bouquet loaded with Spring’s freshest blooms.
This piece, which Philip surprises Elizabeth with for their first wedding anniversary, was composed of peonies, roses, hellebore, ranunculus, and softly-shaded greenery like eucalyptus and dusty miller.
I’m particularly proud of the hellebore I made for this piece. Up to this point, the only hellebore I’d ever made was my version of the lenten rose I grow—a rich, dark aubergine beauty. These had much more detail and a soft blend of color, which I enjoyed immensely!
I also particularly enjoyed the neutral roses in collaboration with the bright rosey pink blooms. The perfect fresh spring palette!
Having completed this project, I can see why hellebore are so popular. Which combination should I try next? Leave a comment or send me a note!
