Blake & Erica’s Romantic Spring Anniversary Bouquet
Last May, I had the honor of replicating this romantic and classicly southern bouquet for Blake to gift his bride, Erica, on their first anniversary.
When Blake sent me the photos to work from, I got an immediate sense of what their wedding day must have been like: Warm, luxurious, and charming. I knew I needed to capture that mood with the project!
Even though this piece bursts with beautiful peonies and roses, the magnificent foliage easily steals the show. I hand-painted dozens of leaves to capture the depth and texture these stems brought to the mix. Their tones and textures creating a splendid backdrop for soft and delicate ivory blooms.
I only wish this recreated bouquet could smell as lovely as the original must have—but at least we know it will last forever!
