Michael & Colleen’s Cascading Rose Bouquet
I love a good challenge, and that's just what this next project presented!
When Michael sent me photos of his wife's bouquet, I mentally checked off the roses (of course), and calla lilies, but the intricate details added by waxflower and amaranth caused a little pause. I love the accents flowers like these provide when I'm working on fresh arrangements, but with paper, they can be a real handful!
Nevertheless, I knew the right solution was within reach, and we agreed on a slightly smaller replica to allow for more of these playful details to shine.
I made sure to include buds and florets for the waxflowers, all hand-painted and layered with teeny-tiny leaves. The amaranth was time-consuming, but since I had been growing it all summer in my garden, it came to me pretty quickly. (I added photos of both of these below so you can see more details.)
I love how these pieces layered and cascaded along with the roses and calla lilies. And so did Michael and Colleen!
