The 2020 Valentine’s Day Collection

Paper Rose Co. the 2020 Valentine’s Day Collection

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays—long before the days when I even had an actual Valentine to celebrate. I remember delivering handmade cards to every one of my classmates. I miss that widespread tradition of Valentine’s giving! Why did we ever stop?

When it came to designing this collection, these thoughts were at the forefront in my mind. So instead of focusing only on romantic Valentine’s Day gifts, I developed a collection to more universally celebrate the love we share with friends, family members, and maybe even those people we’re hoping will become better friends too!

Paper Rose Co. Valentine's Day 2020 Lineup

In addition to the launch of my Valentine’s Day Collection, I wanted to tell you about a few plans I’ve made for the year.

Starting with this collection, I’ll be adding even more detail and hand-painted touches to my seasonal offerings. This extra work, typically reserved for my commissioned pieces, may limit my ability to create as many items, but it opens up the possibilities for more exciting and unique varieties of botanicals.

I’ve also listened to some of your feedback to have the ability to purchase larger bouquets, or to add on to collections you already own. Starting with this collection, I’ve designed stems that are more versatile for mixing and matching and added in options for larger bundles. This way, you can arrange and rearrange your stems in smaller and larger vases at home as you see fit.

Below is a shot of the full lineup of stems included in the floral collection (available as this listing). And then for fun, I arranged it in five different vases in my studio, just to see how it looked! Let me know what your favorite is!

Same bundle, five vases!

And finally, due to their popularity at local events and the many requests I’ve received from afar, I’m going to start offering more plants! That begins with the three in this collection—all hand-painted and ready to gift! (Or keep—I won’t tell!)

I’m so proud of this year’s edition. I’m also proud of the fact that this marks the anniversary of the first real gift collection I designed three years ago! Creating this collection has reenergized me for the year and will set the tone for what’s to come. Look for updates to my Perennial Collection, and a Mother’s Day Collection coming this Spring!

2020 is already off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to new challenges and adventures this year. For a look at upcoming deadlines and the events I have planned, please see this page

I hope your year is off to a brilliant start too!
