Stephen and Amanda’s Paperversary reveal!

Paper Rose Co. Paperversary Stephen & Amanda 1

This is the last anniversary I helped celebrate in September, and it was a stunner! Stephen contacted me a little late in the game having just found out about my ability to recreate bouquets. I took one look at the gorgeous photos he sent (and was won over by his genuine excitement) and knew I needed to find a way to make this one happen.

To help speed up the timeline on this piece, we agreed that I would focus on the four primary components: Roses, Thistle, Eucalyptus, and Dusty Miller.

You may recognize the blush rose from this study I posted recently—that's because this is the piece I was working on at the time! The purple roses in Amanda's bouquet were such a distinct shade I decided to start with a white crepe and shade them using pastels. I liked the results so much I used the same technique for the blush too.

This technique created a softer, painterly quality to the largest blooms in the bouquet, which contrast so beautifully against the bold thistle and more structured flat-leaf eucalyptus. I absolutely adore the combinations in this arrangement!

I'd love to hear what you think of this piece or any of the other recent paper anniversary creations I've posted. October is looking to be the busiest month yet for wedding anniversaries (including my own!), so stay tuned for more fun reveals coming up!

Given the popularity for these creations, I updated my site to make the process for requesting information and ordering even easier. Checkout the Paperversary section for everything you need to get started!
