Tim & Kelly’s Paperversary Reveal
Fall weddings and anniversaries are in full force, and I’ve been getting to make some of the most beautiful flowers lately. I’ve only got a few custom order spots left open for 2019—please reach out soon to get on my schedule! In the meantime, let’s take a look at this lovely piece I designed for Tim to gift to his wife Kelly on their first anniversary!
If you’ve been following my work (or this blog), you know I love the challenges these recreations bring to the table. Not only deciphering new types of flowers but bringing out the nuances specific to each bouquet is something I very much enjoy. I also take a lot of pride in matching the final product to its original inspiration. I’m particularly proud of this bouquet!
I composed this crepe paper bouquet with two hues of roses, white asiatic lilies, coral charm peonies, white limonium, and hand-shaded eucalyptus. The tiny florets that made up the limonium stems were tedious, but the results were well worth the time spent. Once again, I believe that the smallest details are what take these recreations to the next level.
